چکیده

Eu3+-doped Ba3MgSi2O8 has attracted much attention for the photochromic behavior. It been suggested that this behavior originates from photoinduced electron defects. In study, defects induced in silicate were discussed spectroscopic similarity between Ba3MgSi2O8: Eu3+ and isostructural K3Na(SO4)2. ESR spectra measured a single-crystalline K3Na(SO4)2, orientation of which was determined by Raman spectroscopy, revealed CuKα radiation anisotropic SO4- radicals within structure. Similar character observed CuKα-irradiated it indicates with similar geometry formed irradiation. From g-value, assigned to SiO4-related radicals.

X-ray luminescent nanoparticles (NPs), including lanthanide fluorides, have been evaluated for application to deep tissue in vivo molecular imaging using optical tomography. A combination of high material density, higher atomic number and efficient NIR luminescence from compatible lanthanide dopant ions indicates that particles that consist of ALnF4 (A = alkaline, Ln = lanthanide element) may o...

X-ray-Induced Secondary Electron Emission in Porous Materials

Electron emission induced by X-ray radiation in secondary-emission porous materials was investigated. © 2000 MAIK “Nauka/Interperiodica”. Secondary-emission porous materials are widely used as a working substance in electromagnetic and corpuscular radiation detectors [1–5]. The detection process in this case is governed by the interaction between primary radiation and a porous material, fastpri...

Atmospheric Electron-induced X-ray Spectrometer (aexs) Instrument

Introduction: The progress in the development of the AEXS is described. The AEXS is a surface analysis tool based on excitation of characteristic x-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectra from samples in ambient atmospheres using a focused electron beam. Operation in ambient atmospheres with moderate-tohigh spatial resolution in comparison to similar instruments is obtained through the use of a thin ele...

X-ray free-electron lasers

In a free-electron laser (FEL) the lasing medium is a high-energy beam of electrons flying with relativistic speed through a periodic magnetic field. The interaction between the synchrotron radiation that is produced and the electrons in the beam induces a periodic bunching of the electrons, greatly increasing the intensity of radiation produced at a particular wavelength. Depending only on a p...
